Pyes Farm - Homemade Pies!

Pyes Farm was established in 1980 on a fruit farm in the picturesque Essex Countryside. They produce mouth watering puddings, pies and Quiches, all of which are made from Local Ingredients. All of their products are handmade to order, and are made in their Essex farm kitchen. There produce can be found within a few top food halls such as Fortnum & Masons and Harrods.

Pyes Farm offer a large range of food which includes pies of various different fillings,  such as Smoked Bacon, Brie & Cranberry, Pork and Stilton, Chicken and Ham, Royal Game, Duck and Sage and Chicken Ham and Honey Mustard.

The range of pasties and pies include Steak and Kidney Puddings, Beef Pasties, Lamb and Leek Pasties, Steak and Ale Pie and Sausage rolls. They also produce an extensive range of Desserts  including Pecan Pie, Baileys Cheesecake, Treacle Tart, Summer Fruits Flan and Sticky Toffee Pudding! They are the home of the famous Dunmow Flitch Pasty!!

New Hall Vineyards- Produces Fine English Wines!

New Hall Vineyards produce English wines within their over 65 Hectares of Vineyard. It was first established by the Greenwood family in the Essex village of Purleigh back in 1969.

The grape vines that are grown have been carefully selected and have been planted between 12m to 24m above sea level. They offer a wide range of wines, including Ruby Royal, Bacchus, Huxelrebe, Pinot Noir, Muller-Thurgau, Sparkling and Perle.

New Hall Vineyards are open daily for visitors free of charge, along with the chance to taste some of the award winning wines and enjoy a Vineyard trail. They also offer many different events throughout the year including a Spring Wine Sale, Annual English Wine Festival and a Christmas Wine Sale.

The Company Shed Mersea - Fresh Seafood!

The Company Shed is a highly rated seafood eaterie, situated on the lovely Mersea Island. It is a family run eatery run by the Haward family, who are produces of some of the finest farmed flat oysters. They deal with local fisherman who catch their produce daily. The Company sheds main purpose is a fishmongers, although they have dining facilities which enables you to enjoy a freshly caught Seafood Platter. The shed do not supply anything else so bring your own crusty bread a bottle of wine and come down and enjoy the fresh seafood. Seafood Platters are £8.50 per person. Lobsters and Oysters are available as well as a small selection of hot food such as Grilled Oysters, Tiger Prawns and Mussels.

Carters Vineyard - Many Award-Winning Wines!

Carters Vineyards is situated in the Essex countryside which comprises of 40 acres of Vines,Wildflower Meadows, Lakes and Woodlands. They offer an extensive range of English wines which they have won many different awards for. When you visit the vineyard you are able to take a complete tour of the Vineyard and winery this also involves being able to taste the wines. The wines they offer are Carter's Sparkling Brut, Carter's Sparkling Rose, King Coel, Colchester rose, Carter's Bacchus, Orion, St Helena and Boudicca. Also when you visit the Vineyards you can follow the nature trail through the Woodland and Wild Flower Meadows, and taste several fine English and White Wine.

Upsons Farm Shop - Locally Produced Foods!

Upsons farm sales is based in Hatfield Peverel. They have been selling eggs from the Farmhouse for over 40 years with free range eggs from their own Black Rock hens.They aim to sell as much locally produced food as they can . The local produce they currently offer is Sausages, Bacon and Ham. Also Marriages Flour, Maldon Salt and the famous Tiptree Jams. They sell Fresh Bread, Cakes and Biscuits daily and also offer a range of different Fruit Juices. Upsons also sell Equine food and bedding, Hens for the garden , Farm toys and Electric Fencing. Upsons is a very good farm shop especially if you have animals, because you can get everything for them from Upsons.

Felstar Brewery - Traditional Ales from Essex!

Felstar Brewery is situated in Felsted and is the oldest vineyard in East Anglia. It was started in 2001 by two Italian brothers. Felstar Brewery brew a large variety of different Ales and are currently trying to re-invent the "Real Lager". The brewery is set on a 12 acre site and now satisfies the demand of local free houses and beer festivals.They sell a range of different products which includes Felstar,Shalford, HoppyHen, Dancin'Hen, Peckin'Order, Crix Forest and Good Knight. Boydells Dairy is a small farm run by the Threadgold faimily. They specialize in sheep milking, the farm is open to the public. They offer tours of the farm and the opportunity to participate in hands on activities.
